Baggins' Bites: Heal Skin Conditions Part 2
August 23, 2011
Hey Dog Lover,

Recently I wrote about fish oil for dogs and how the omega 3 essential fatty acids in the fish oil can heal your petís skin.

Most dogs thrive on omega 3's, but of course, there is always the possibility your dog is allergic to fish. Symptoms can include vomiting or worsened hot spots after taking the fish oil.

Itís a small possibility but itís something to be aware of anytime you add something new to your petís diet.

If you suspect your dog canít handle fish oil, you can brewerís yeast.

This tip comes courtesy of Linda Baar, Prescious & Kelly Thanks Linda!

ďAnother trick I learned 30+ years ago from a Vet that normally works REALLY well for dry aging skin is Brewers Yeast! Just pick it up at a Health Food Store and sprinkle it on their food! My St Bernards and Poodle/Spitz X really LOVED it and their dry flaky itchy skin went away!!!Ē

Great tip Linda, thanks!

So there you are, you can heal skin conditions in your pet with fish oil for dogs or brewerís yeast!
