This Bacon Dog Biscuit Recipe is a Favorite of Dogs Everywhere

Frying up the Bacon Dog Treat Recipe

Try this bacon dog biscuit recipe and teach your dog new tricks!

Tip: If including bacon fat in this dog biscuit recipe, don't forget to cut back a little on the regular meals. Treats should supplement meals not take the place of them.

Bacon Dog Bones
Ingredients:

1 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Rye Flour
1/2 Cup Non-Fat Powdered Milk
1 Tbls. Wheat Germ
1 Tbls. Flaxseeds
2-3 pieces cooked and crumbled bacon
3 Tbls. Bacon Fat (grease) or vegetable oil
1 Egg
1 Cup Water

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Add more water if needed, a tablespoon a time. Roll out to 1/4" thick and cut into shapes or with cookie cutters. Bake 20-25 minutes. Allow to harden overnight in the oven.

Makes 1-2 Dozen dog biscuits (or more if you make them small)

Gift Idea: This Bacon Dog Treat Recipe will make a great gift for your dog friends. Just wrap them in pretty cellophane and tie with a ribbon. You could combine several flavors of dog treats for a great gift basket or gift bag.
