Banana Biscotti Dog Treat Recipe

Your dog will beg for a banana biscotti dog treat!

Baggins' Banana Biscotti

Ingredients:
5 c. Flour
1 ½ c. Pureed Banana
½ tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Vanilla
1 Egg
1/8 c. Peanuts
¼ c. Vegetable Oil

Directions:
Preheat oven 325 degrees. Mix dry ingredients. Add wet and mix until lumpy. Add water by teaspoon as needed. Knead by hand on a floured surface. Form into logs about 2 “ high. Flatten to make the biscotti about 6” wide and 1 “ tall. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets 30-40 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes. Slice into ½” to 1 “ biscotti slices. Bake another 10 minutes or until golden brown.

If you really want to get fancy, dip cooled biscotti in melted carob!

Makes a great gift too. Package them up in a nice gift cellophane bag, tie with some curling ribbon and there you are! A creative and welcome hostess or holiday gift for the furry household members.
