Daisy-Rottie mix

Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae

How Daisy adopted me as her new mom one summer day.

As my nephew Cody and I were pulling out of the driveway, we noticed this really cute dog running loose in my yard. Cody yelled out of the window to the dog to stay away from the road. All of a sudden, this stray dog made a bee-line straight for us. We got a bit nervous with her being a strange dog. We didn't know if she was going to attack us or not. Those fears were quickly quited as she bailed straight in the open car window, over Cody and into the back seat where she refused to budge from. I guess she decided that she wasn't getting out until she made sure she found a new family. I had to physically lift her out of the car, and she was a rather large puppy. After looking for tags or any sort of identification and finding nothing, I decided to take her into the house. I figured that I would hang on to her until I could find her owner, and if I didn't find her owners, that I would keep her. When I let her into the house, she ran straight in and straight into my bedroom and up onto my bed like she was supposed to be there. All the while with her tail going a mile a minute. I was hoping I didnt find her owners because I had decided I really liked her and wanted to keep her for myself. Well here it is 11 years later and I still haven't found out who she had belonged to, but it was almost like she was meant to find me. She is my baby Daisy now! I couldn't give her up for the world!
