Dog Treat Dinner is a
Frittata for Fido
(And Maybe You?)

I'm calling this a dog treat dinner because it's much more than a dog treat.

It's a meal.

Dog Treat Frittata

Perfect for those of you who want to offer Lucy a home cooked meal made of more natural foods than processed kibble or canned.

And hey, if you wanted to save some of this for your own dinner, I'll never tell...;)

Italian Frittata

Ingredients:
  • 4 whole egg
  • 2/3 cup milk, skim
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham or turkey
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • ½ cup finely chopped broccoli
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Directions: Pre-heat oven to 375F degrees

Wisk egg, milk together, add other ingredients and mix, then pour into a greased pie dish or other 8 in. baking dish.

Bake for 30-45 min. Till done. Let it cool.

You can sprinkle a little more parsley on top to "dress it up" a little ;)

Note: If you used deli cuts instead of whole, diced turkey or ham that’s fine too. You can add another cup of cut up deli meat for a total of 2 cups of meat.

The beautiful thing about a frittata is it’s mix and match.

You have leftover asparagus but no broccoli? That’s ok, throw it in. All out of shredded carrots? You can add a little extra of the other ingredients.

There’s no right or wrong way to make a frittata. Just have fun and enjoy!

This will last up to a week stored in your fridge. If it makes it that long….
