PUMPKIN WAFERS DOG TREAT RECIPE
Ingredients:
One 15 oz. can mashed pure pumpkin (NOT the spiced pie
filling)
3/4 cup cream of wheat (or rice cereal if wheat-sensitive) You can mix this dry--no need to cook it first
1/2 cup dry powdered milk
Directions: Preheat oven to 300 F.
Mix all ingredients together. Drop small spoonfuls (I use about half of a tablespoon) onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 15-20 minutes. If you'd like to make bite sized cookies for small dogs, training rewards or just small treats, you can use a pastry bag
and squeeze out
rosettes about the size of a dime for tasty bite sized cookies!
Pumpkin is Great for Dogs & Humans!

"Hey Jennifer,
The Pumpkin Dog Treat Cookie recipe is GREAT! I made them yesterday for Hope b/c she has to lose some weight. She was 72 lbs. when we got her and she needs to go down to 46 in order to continue in her agility class. One of the tips offered by her teacher was to cut down on her food and add pumpkin to her meals (filler and healthy for her). I was so excited to find your recipe. I even replaced the reg. hot cereal with a Hot Cereal made of Flax, Soy, and Wheat. Extra healthy!
Hope thanks you for giving her snacks back into her life."
