Duke-german shepherd

my boyfriend Chuck had adopted Duke -taking him out of a abusive situation.When I first got to know Duke, his ears didnt stand up as most german shepherds do,they were flat against his head, but over the years they have gone thru some tranformations,but what I remember best is when he first started lifting them- he looked like he was always flying in the wind-it always made me laugh,but you could also see his pride even if he did look like a dork!
