Digits Gabby

With two Scotties, a bunny, and a bird I pretty much had a full house. There were no plans to add to my pet family, but life can throw you some curves.

I was going to visit my sister when I saw something on the side of the road. I stopped to check it out and found a brindle puppy. I picked her up and scheduled an appointment with my vet (isolating her until the checkup). The exam found she weighed about 4 lbs., was about six weeks old, and had parvo. Today she is healty, happy, and weighs about 50 lbs. I named her Digits because of her white toes. Now my family was complete or so I thought. In stepped life with another curve!

My nephew found a puppy with her umbilical cord still attached. He called me for help knowing I would take the puppy home with me. I did an internet search to find as much info as possible about hand-raising newborn puppies. In raising her I found out about sleep deprivation. Today Gabby(I named her Gabby because she was a very vocal puppy.)is a fifty pound bundle of joy, loves life and would chase butterflies until she dropped if I would let her.

Thank goodness for the curves life threw me!
