Isabella Rottie-Shepard mix

by Anita

Here's my dog rescue story. We adopted Isabella after seeing her on the internet and figuring my Lab Mix needed a friend. She is a Rot-Shepard mix and was about 40lbs underweight. They also put a spike collar on her as a baby and she grew into it so the rescue people had to cut it out of her. (She was about a year old when we got her) So of course we did everything we could to put weight on her so that the vet can have her spayed. Six weeks later, we take her to the vet and come to find out that she was pregnant and due any day. She was about a month pregnant when we got her. She delivered 2 pups and much to my heart break we lost one the 1st week. But Daisy is alive, well, and 3 1/2 years old now. So my 1 blessing turned into 2. They are both my angels and I couldn't have been happier.
