Shadow, Duke and me

Shadow, Duke and me

Shadow isn't so funny as sneaky, but my favorite story about Shadow has to do with our first encounter. The first night I had stayed over, Chuck had to get up to go out of town for work, he let me sleep in.

Around 8 I could hear two guys outside calling for Shadow,(Chuck always had his friend Tim come over to take care of the boys while he was out of town) It didn't take long to figure out Shadow had somehow gotten off his chain and thought they were playing tag-you could hear Tim & Jim getting closer but couldn't catch him. This went on for about an hour, finally I got up to go help them,on my way out the door I grabbed the leftovers out of the fridge and headed outside, within 2 minutes there was Shadow eating off the plate! Well we dont tie the boys(Duke & Shadow) up anymore,(put up a fence)but to this day if you walk out the door with a plate in your hand Shadow is the first one to come running...that dog will do anything for a leftover!
