tomatoe juice worked

snickers got sprayed on his head, the only tomato product in the house was a can of V-8 juice, I soaked him in it then rinsed and then bathed him in his doggy shampoo and it got most of the smell off enough so we can all sleep tonight. Needless to say he needs a new collar and leash and my living room is very smelly. how about a home remedy for the house?
