The Benefits of Fruits and Veggies for Your Dog

Dogs are carnivores. Descended from wolves, their bodies (and teeth!) are meant to tear flesh.

However, dogs do not live by meat alone. In fact, they require fruits and veggies to thrive and stay healthy.

You can easily add cooked sweet potatoes, steamed spinach or kale and green beans to your dog's diet on a regular basis.

Baby carrots and bits of apple can be treats.

The vitamins and minerals in these foods provide your dog with important antioxidants to fight cancer and other dangerous diseases.
