You can have a web business without knowing HTML, Internet Marketing or even what a web host is. That's how I started an internet business and you can too.

It takes two things, brains and motivation. Got that? Of course you do!

I could barely send email attachments when I started, but I discovered a great way to build a website without much tech know how and it's fun and makes me an income!

How'd I Do It?

When I started this site I had a dog and an interest in nutrition. I started baking treats for my dog and sharing them with his friends and neighbors.

The response was exciting. And when some acquaintances who ran a pet shop said they liked them and wanted to sell them, I decided to go for it.

I also started selling them at the local Farmer’s Market.

But as the market season ended, I decided to spend less time baking dozens of treats at night after work and more on learning how to build this “website thingy”.

As I learned more and more, through my baking and research, I found I had uncovered a huge topic of dog nutrition with ancillary topics of dog grooming, training, health and agility.

Wow! What had I gotten myself into?

I decided to focus on the treats/nutrition with my website though occasionally, I include short articles on other topics.

Learning Along the Way

I’ve met a lot of interesting people and learned about professions I didn’t know existed before--like animal communication (also sometimes known as pet psychics) and I’m always learning new things.

I’ve learned simple old-fashioned techniques of drizzling a little olive oil on Baggins’ food to give him a soft, sleek coat.

I’ve also learned that many dogs are developing allergies to corn and wheat because they’re so often used as cheap fillers for dog food. Oh, what I've learned about dog food!
